We know the people who touch your cargo. Large 3PL’s set up small forwarding offices in all major ports without controlling each office’s quality. Lack of oversight in larger 3PL’s creates massive misalignment with the companies as a whole and offers inconsistent service quality.
We hand-select the best providers at each port and maintain options when we face issues. We keep our overhead low, which allows us to offer genuinely incredible rates!

Shipping by air during the COVID-19 pandemic has been anything but normal. Prices fluctuated so high that at the peak, rates tripled. While they have come down, shipping costs remain high. Transit times are still 2-3 days longer than normal. Which is better than before, when all cargo was at least 7-10 days delayed.
For as long as China does not open its borders to commercial travel, there will continue to be a decrease in supply of planes leaving China, which means delays for almost all shipments. As for the cargo and commercial airlines flying into China, there is an increase in screening processes both for cargo and flight crew, which further delays shipments.
Due to COVID-19, companies purchasing from China and shipping by air can expect to continue to see an increase in costs and delays for the foreseeable future.
At Guided Imports, we can ship from China to anywhere in the world. The majority of our shipments are sent to North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, which is where we have the most experience.
Standard air freight takes anywhere from 8-10 days to ship products from China to the U.S. There are faster options available, such as Air Express, which can take between 2-3 days.
When shipping by standard Air Freight, it takes anywhere from 5-15 days to ship products from China to the U.K. and the E.U. Air Express options are also available for faster shipping time. Air Express shipments can take as little as 2 days to ship products.
When shipping from China to Australia via air freight, it takes between 6-12 days packages to arrive at their destination. Air Express options are available from China to Australia, and while they are more expensive, the time can be reduced, and only take 3 days.
We can absolutely assist in helping businesses with moving their products within China. Our services can help you move your cargo both domestically and internationally.
When cargo needs to be shipped quickly, and the cost is not an issue, air freight is always the most ideal solution. Whenever time is not an issue, LCL sea freight will be more cost-effective.
When shipping less than 1 CBM, air freight is the best. 1 – 18 CBM is ideal for LCL, and if higher, FCL should be considered.
Guided Imports does offer freight insurance. We include an option when requesting a quotation for shippers to indicate whether or not they would also like an insurance quotation to be included with their shipping quotation.
Air Express is a door to door service, meaning the goods are picked up at the factory and shipped directly to your destination. 3PL’s such as DHL, FedEx, or UPS handle all customs clearance.
We have negotiated rates with the top express companies shipping out of China and can arrange the entire shipping process. Our process is cost-effective and fully managed. All you have to do is wait for your goods to arrive at their destination while we do everything else.
Air Cargo is an airport to airport service. Shipments must be delivered to and from the airports to fulfill the entire logistics process. Customs clearance is often required, as the airlines don’t provide support in this process.
When independently arranged, air cargo is a service that only covers airport to airport service. When our customers request air cargo quotations from us, we also provide the delivery and customs clearance costs as additional charges to consider. With multiple options presented, you can be sure you’re getting the exact service you need with no surprises.
Guided Imports can assist in both of these services.
One of the most considerable restrictions in the consumer product shipping industry is the transport of lithium batteries by air. It is entirely possible to ship batteries by air. Still, lithium batteries are considered dangerous goods, which means manufacturers and freight forwarders need to follow specific precautions to move batteries safely.
A lot of cargo Guided Imports ships includes batteries. We know how to follow the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) guidelines on shipping batteries. We can work directly with our customer’s manufacturers to ensure compliance before the cargo leaves the factory.
Other dangerous goods Guided Imports can assist in shipping are:
– Liquids and oils
– Strong magnets
Our simple answer to this is to get quotations from both of us and see who is cheaper.
Express companies offer varying rates based on your location and annual shipping capacity. At Guided Imports, we take advantage of these factors and pass along the savings to the customer.
We ship a lot with DHL, UPS, FedEx, TNT, and SF Express. We dispatch so much that our rates are some of the lowest in the market. We also set up our freight accounts in China, where the cost of living is lower than that of most destinations. Our strategy brings our rates down and allows us to be less expensive than if you were to contact the same express companies.
We can ship from any airport in China. We review hundreds of routes anytime a customer requests a quotation from us.
Below you may find a curated list of the top 10 international airports in China.
These ten airports have cargo destinations to hundreds of cities. Since most factories are strategically situated close enough to at least one of the above locations, most of our air shipments originate from the mentioned cities. However, even if your factory is not close to an airport, we can work with inland trucking and rail lines to inexpensively transport your cargo anywhere in China.
